Man Utd Issue Statement In Response To Ronaldo's Interview

Manchester United have issued a statement on the club website on Monday following an interview by Cristiano Ronaldo with Piers Morgan which was released on Sunday.

As earlier reported, Ronaldo in the interview threw some light on the situation at the club with a personal statement about the manager Erik Ten Hag, that the Dutchman does not respect him.

In Ronaldo's exact words, "I don’t have respect for him because he doesn’t show respect for me. If you don’t respect me, I’m never gonna have respect for you."

On Monday afternoon, United issued a statement on its website saying they will consider a response to Ronaldo's interview.

According to the statement, United wrote, "Manchester United notes the media coverage regarding an interview by Cristiano Ronaldo.

"The club will consider its response after the full facts have been established.

Our focus remains on preparing for the second half of the season and continuing the momentum, belief and togetherness being built among the players, manager, staff, and fans."
