Man Utd Pay €3M To Besiktas For Weghorst

Wout Weghorst

Manchester United may finally be able to sign a centre forward after the departure of Edinson Cavani and Ronaldo with a loan deal for Dutch forward Wout Weghorst.

According to transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, the deal is done.

Weghorst 30, who is currently with the EFL Championship side Burnley would return to Premier League this January.

He would reunite with countryman Erik ten Hag at Old Trafford.

Weghorst may have sold himself to the football world with his powerful header against Argentina for the Netherlands at the just concluded World Cup.

The former Wolfsburg striker's goal set the stage for a comeback with the match decided in a penalty shootout. He proved he can still play at the top level.

He will fly to Manchester United for medical tests and then sign a contract.
