Man Utd Playmaker Fernandes Wins EPL Player Of The Month

Manchester United playmaker, Bruno Fernandes has won the EPL Player Of The Month (POTM) for December, the 4th time since joining the English Premier League side in January 2020.

The Portuguese midfielder enters the EPL record with just five players ahead of him on the POTM hallmark - Kun Sergio Aguero, Harry Kane, Steven Gerard, Van Persie, and Wayne Rooney.

Fernandes 26, scored three goals for United in the month of December as Ole Gunner Solskjaer side remains unbeaten winning four games and I draw going into the new year. 

Bruno becomes the first footballer in the English top-flight to be named Player of the Month four times in a single calendar year. He also picked up the award in February, May, and November of 2020.

The former Sporting Lisbon player is also United assist King with four assists in the month of December which includes the incisive pass that gave them the winner against Wolves.

Fernandes's December exploits led to him retaining the prize, as he saw off competition from colleague Marcus Rashford, Emiliano Martinez, Anwar El Ghazi (both Aston Villa), Ben Mee (Burnley), Mohamed Salah (Liverpool), Tomas Soucek (West Ham) and John Stones (Manchester City).

So far this season, he has scored 15 goals, with nine assists in all competition which has contributed to United at the top of the EPL with 3 points ahead of Liverpool.
