Man Utd Ready To 'Count Their Loss' As Pogba Price Drop

Manchester United are ready to count their loss with their record signing from Juventus, Paul Pogba, as his asking price dropped to £53M with contract expiration and winter transfer approaches.

AllNews understands that Pogba has not been at his best since the start of the season with several matches lost due to his lack of focus - as he set not to renew the contract and transfer rumour clouds the Frenchman's mind.

United is ready to move on without the midfielder and will accept a significant reduction in his transfer fee with January transfer ahead instead of losing him for free later in June.

Several clubs across Europe will be wrestling for the 27-year old signature with Real Madrid and PSG leading the race for the World Cup winner.

Now with Van de Beek signing it seems the replacement for the aged Pogba is available.

Zidane is a great admirer of his countryman and could push the club's board to sign him as a replacement for the former Ballon d'Or winner, Luca Modric and Toni Kroos.

Although he would not be the first on the list with Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland on the Madrid wishlist as well - which could give PSG an opportunity to swoop in for him with much of Madrid's effort focused on Kylian Mbappe.

Juventus are also still interested in the midfielder though it remains to be seen how he would fit into the squad with Rabiot, Ramsey, Arthur already in the squad.

There are several clubs that would be put on high alert as the asking price reduction will ignite interest even where it was not before.
