A Twitter user identified as Kolawole Fagite, has called out Guaranty Trust Bank (GTB) for allegedly allowing a customer's account to be used to apply for a loan by fraudsters despite asking that her ATM card be blocked.

According to Fagite, his neighbour was robbed on her way to work on Monday morning in the Mile 12 area of Lagos state. She filed a police report and also asked that her card be blocked. However, she received a mail in the evening stating that her account has been used to successfully access a loan.

She heads to the bank today and the cold hearted humans could not eacalate it and told her there was nothing they could do about it. No sensible discussion made.
Do we have to get dramatic before we do the right thing.

He also accused the bank of being rude in response to the issue and threatened to disrupt banking activities in the Ketu branch of GTB until the matter is properly addressed.

Gtbank is loosing its credibility amongst Nigerians like first Bank already did. This is because the system itself has been rigged to only accommodate the heinous crimes of the wealthy and affluent in our society
