Manchester City were 3-2 winners against German side RB Leipzig as both sides locked horns in Tuesday's UEFA Champions League encounter.

The Blues came into the game as the obvious favourites but the German side stole the show to force City into their true Champions element.

Lois Openda gave the visitors the lead in the 13th minute thanks to an assist from Janis Blaswich.

But that was not all RB Leipzig was up to in this match as they doubled the advantage in the 33rd minute with Xavi Simons assisting Lois Openda to complete his brace.

Both sides went into the break with City two goals (0-2) down at home.

But after the restart, the Citizens came alive with Erling Haaland providing a lifeline with a goal in the 54th minute.

European Champions City drew level at 2-2 as youngster Phil Foden scored in the 70th minute of the game.

However, the comeback was outstanding as Argentine forward Julian Alvarez scored to make it 3-2 thus sealing the comeback win for Manchester City in the 87th minute of the match.
