'Marcus Is Available' - Ole Gives Update On Rashford Injury

Manchester United boss, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has provided an update on Marcus Rashford's fitness ahead of Wednesday's English Premier League (EPL) clash with Sheffield United at Old Trafford.

Rashford 23, who scored in Sunday's Emirates FA Cup fourth-round win over Liverpool and hit a double in the corresponding fixture at Bramall Lane before Christmas, hurt his knee in the second half of the tie with the Merseyside team.

"A scan was required to assess the problem and, thankfully, it showed no major damage", the club website wrote.

Solskjaer who is currently enjoying a period of wins with his United team confirmed the state of forward before their clash against Sheffield United on Wednesday in his pre-match interview.

“Marcus is available, yeah," said the boss. “He trained this morning. I think he tweaked his knee a little bit but should be fine.

“We are looking strong, which is a good place to be in.”

Rashford currently sits at 11th on the EPL goalscoring chart with 7 goals with teammate Bruno Fernandes ahead of him at 11 goals - the only two United players in the top 10.

United will look to go top on the EPL table as the two Manchester club enter a switch race for the title.
