‘Marriage Is A Scam’ — Pere

Big Brother Naija reality star, Pere Egbi, has made the assertion that getting married is, in fact, a scam.

Via his Twitter page, the actor said that getting married is not a problem but staying married is where the issue lies.

“Marriage is a scam!” Pere claims.

“Slide in my DM real quick.  Getting married ain’t a problem. Staying married is.”

His statement got mixed reactions, as some netizens disagreed with him.

However, the actor said that the same people disagreeing with him are the same ones who believe that there is a right person for everyone.

He posited that even though there are compatible people for everyone, marriage is still a scam.

“The same ones shouting “it’s not” are the same ones who believe there’s a “right person” for you! No there isn’t.

"There are “compatible” persons for everyone tho. It’s still a scam. Why marry only to end up in divorce and be single all over again?

“In Heaven you won’t have a wife or husband for the rest of eternity! Love isn’t a scam tho.”

The same ones shouting “it’s not” are the same ones who believe there’s a “right person” for you! No there isn’t. There are “compatible” persons for everyone tho. It’s still a scam. Why marry only to end up in divorce and be single all over again?
