VIDEO: Mayhem In LASU, Ojo Campus As Unidentified Men Clash, Destroy Properties

There was mayhem in Lagos State University (LASU), Ojo campus, along the Lagos-Badagry Expressway, Monday. Men wielding sticks clashed, destroying vehicles parked in front of the school.

It was reported that the hoodlums attacked the school after soldiers in an OP MESA vehicle drove away from the front of the school gate.

It is unclear exactly who the stick-wielding men were or who they were fighting against.

However, as seen in a video sent to AllNews Nigeria, security agencies were actively on ground while the attack was ongoing.

The crisis compelled the management of LASU to close the gates of the school as students and members of staff have been urged to remain within the premises.

Reacting via a phone conversation with AllNews Nigeria, the spokesman for Lagos State Police Command, Muyiwa Adejobi, said normalcy had been restored.

He added that the Commissioner of Police in the state, CP Hakeem Odumosu, has ordered the immediate deployment of additional police personnel in the area to maintain law and order.

Adejobi also said leaders of the affected Okada riders unit have been invited for an “urgent meeting”.
