Kylian Mbappe
The 24-year-old's status as the most decorated player in the history of the award continues as he surpassed Zlatan Ibrahimovic's record, leading the French capital club to their record-breaking 11th French title.
Expressing his gratitude, Mbappe acknowledged the collective effort of his teammates, staff, and all those working behind the scenes.
Reflecting on his unprecedented success, the French prodigy stated, "I've always aspired to leave a lasting legacy. Winning this much at such an early stage of my career is beyond my expectations, but it brings me immense joy to make history in my country."
Mbappe's contract with PSG currently extends until 2024, with an option to extend it for another year. While confirming his happiness with the club, he remained cryptic about his plans for the future, neither confirming nor denying his potential stay until 2025.
PSG sealed their title triumph with a game to spare, securing a 1-1 draw against Racing Strasbourg. Their dominance throughout the season has been recognized with four players from the team making it into the Ligue 1 Team of the Season.
Alongside Mbappe and Argentine maestro Lionel Messi, fullbacks Nuno Mendes and Achraf Hakimi also earned well-deserved spots in the prestigious lineup.
In addition to the individual accolades, Franck Haise of RC Lens was honoured as the Best Coach of the Season.
Haise masterminded the remarkable rise of RC Lens, leading them to a remarkable second-place finish. The club's exceptional performance secures their return to the UEFA Champions League after a 21-year absence.
