Mbappe Scores Twice As PSG Win At Lyon

Kylian Mbappe scored twice as Paris St-Germain (PSG) won 4-1 at Lyon on Sunday night.

Mbappe converted from the spot inside four minutes after Corentin Tolisso fouled Manuel Ugarte.

The visitors increased their lead in the 20th minute when Achraf Hakimi poked the ball past keeper Anthony Lopes after a brilliant one-two with Ousmane Dembele.

Marco Asensio made it 3-0 on 38 minutes when Ugarte slipped the ball through for him to slot home.

The proceedings then became worse for Lyon as Mbappe scored his second and PSG's fourth when he dinked in an exquisite finish just before half-time.

That goal fired Mbappe to the top of the league's goalscoring charts with his fifth of the season.

Lyon eventually had their moment on 74 minutes to reduce the deficit when a penalty was awarded for Warren Zaire-Emery fouling Nicolas Tagliafico in the area.

Tolisso was on hand to convert from 12 yards and made no mistake to send keeper Gianluigi Donnarumma the wrong way.

But that goal only proved to be a consolation as Laurent Blanc's side fell to another defeat, extending their winless run to four games in the new Ligue 1 campaign.

PSG, who are unbeaten this season, are now trailing leaders Monaco with two points in the early standings, while Lyon remain bottom on one point from four games.
