Meghan Markle: Black Lives Matter Co-Founder Calls For Boycott Of Buckingham Palace Royals

Meghan Markle: Black Lives Matter Co-Founder Calls For Boyco

The co-founder of the Black Lives Matter movement Opal Tometi has called for a royal boycott of those at Buckingham Palace over Meghan Markle's racist experiences.

Tometi spoke to TMZ after she heard Meghan's tell-all interview sessions with Oprah Winfrey and says people should no longer stand with the monarchy or the royals.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry had admitted to Winfrey that at least one member of the monarchy had wanted to discriminate against their son, Archie, due to his skin colour, and Tometi sees this as proof that the royals do not value black lives.

Meghan's words have left many guessing who brought up Archie's skin colour to Harry, but neither she nor her husband is saying who the person is.

Opal Tometi says that the couple's experience shows that the Royal Family is problematic, adding that the world doesn't need institutions that treat black people like they don't matter.

Commenting further, the Black Lives Matter co-founder stated that Meghan's encounter is the same thing that blacks go through; trying to resolve issues through the proper channels only to find out that the institution is the problem.
