Messi spent a whopping £175,000 on 35 of these custom-made iPhones, one for each member of the winning squad and their staff.
The phones were delivered to Messi's Parisian apartment on a Saturday, ready to be presented to the team.
According to a source close to Messi, he wanted to do something special and unique to celebrate his proudest moment.
The gold iPhones were the perfect way to show his appreciation to his teammates and staff for their hard work and dedication.
Ben Lyons, who had worked with Messi previously, suggested the idea of gold iPhones, and Messi loved it.
Lyons said, "Lionel is not only the Goat, but he's one of iDesign Gold's most loyal customers and got in touch with us a couple of months after the World Cup final.
He said he wanted a special gift for all the players and staff to celebrate the amazing win but didn't want the usual gift of watches.
So, I suggested gold iPhones inscribed with their names and he loved the idea."
The phones were not only extravagant and unique but also a symbol of Messi's appreciation and love for his team.
Argentina triumphed in Qatar last year, with Messi being named Player of the Tournament.
