Microsoft Introduces FPS Boost Support To 13 EA Games On Xbo

Microsoft has introduced a bit of treat for Xbox lovers on Friday in the form of FPS Boost support for 13 EA titles, including Battlefield 5, Titanfall 2, and Star Wars Battlefronts 2.

Launched back in February, FPS Boost is designed to increase frame rates of legacy Xbox One games when run on Xbox Series X/S.

Until now, FPS Boost supports the like of Skyrim, Dishonored, Sniper Elite 4, Watch Dog 2, and Fallout 76 but presently, that section has been expanded to include 13 more titles, all from the EA Play catalogue and this can also be accessed as part of an Xbox Game pass Ultimate subscription.

Here are the games, and their respective frame rate boosts:

Battlefield 1 (120hz on Series X)
Battlefield 4 (120hz on Series X and S)
Battlefield 5 (120hz on Series X)
Mirror's Edge Catalyst (120hz on Series X)
Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare (120hz on Series X and S)
Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville (120hz on Series X and S)
Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare 2 (120hz on Series X and S)
Sea of Solitude (60hz on Series X and S)
Star Wars Battlefront (120hz on Series X and S)
Star Wars Battlefront 2 (120hz on Series X)
Titanfall (120hz on Series X)
Titanfall 2 (120hz on Series X and S)
Unravel 2 (120hz on Series X and S)

Microsoft notes some of the games on the list have seen their resolution reduced when FPS Boost is active to ensure a smoother experience.

FPS Boost isn't automatically enabled but can be turned on using the relevant setting in Compatibility Options, as detailed in today's announcement post.
