Microsoft's new Fluent-style emoji is now available in Windows 11 and a new optional update for the OS is rolling out that includes a number of important bug fixes.
Microsoft said that the new emoji is a totally new style with a 2D look and will be available later this week. The company replaced the standard paperclip emoji with its Clippy character
The new emojis has been redesigned to include bright and saturated colours in 2D format.
"Windows 11 now offers a more modern and expressive emoji to use in your hybrid communications, allowing you to add fun, expression and personality to your communications."
Microsoft stated that “the new emoji style is only available in Windows 11,”
“We still offer an assortment of emojis [sic] for Windows 10 customers.”
To gain access to the new emoji, open your Windows Update settings (Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update) and select Check for updates. Once the update installation I complete, hit the Windows key + period key to access the new emoji within the emoji picker.
