Microsoft Xbox Cloud Gaming Gets New Update To Improve Performance

Microsoft has announced that Xbox Cloud Gaming has been updated to improve performance on all iPhone and iPad devices to reduce input lag on iOS.

Microsoft said that it has optimised video output and network data transmission on iOS devices. It also found a way to reduce overall input lag.

The update is offered through Safari, as opposed to a dedicated app, due to Apple’s policies on game streaming apps.

Last year October, Microsoft announced that its Xbox Cloud Gaming service (xCloud) is fully powered by custom Xbox Series X hardware. which led to faster load times and a boost in performance.

How to activate the new update

On your supported iPhone or iPad, go to Xbox.com/play using Safari and sign in with your Microsoft account.

To play, pin the website to your Home screen:

Launch the Safari browser then go to Xbox.com/play.

Select the Share button, then select Add to Home Screen.
