Arsenal wins the Community Shield at Wembley against Liverpool on penalties as Mikel Arteta claims second silverware as Arsenal Manager. Aubameyang claims the second trophy as Arsenal's captain with the FA Cup and the FA Community shield in the cabinet.
Mikel Arteta has now won both FA Cup and community shield both as a player and as a coach
Arsenal scored first in the game with a curler from Aubameyang from inside the 18-yard box after a lovely counter-attack move from the Gunners left Liverpool defense in misery. The scoreline stayed as 1-0 till Jurgen Klopp brought in Minamino into the game in the second half.
With 72 minutes on the clock, Minanmino gets a clumsy one-on-one situation with Martinez and tucks it home in style to level the scoreline.
All attempts to score in the game were futile as the game ended 1-1
The game progressed to penalties, on the third kick Brewster steps up to take the penalty and shoots too high - off the post.
I’m crying look at the reaction from Mane after Brewster missed penalty pic.twitter.com/qqFfBZnLyT
