Mildred Okwo's 'La Femme Anjola' Now Streaming On Amazon Prime Video

Mildred Okwo’s noir psychological thriller 'La Femme Anjola' is now available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video. 

The film written by Tunde Bakare stars Rita Dominic and Nono Bassey in lead roles and follows the story of a stockbroker Dejare whose life is turned upside down when he falls in love with the mysterious Anjola, a femme fatale who is married to a wealthy gangster.  

“The universe works in mysterious ways. When we shot the film, Amazon Prime had not yet entered the market.

"Let’s just say they arrived right on time. I am happy Africa gets to see it,” Mildred Okwo said in a statement to Shock.ng.

The movie co-stars Nonso Bassey, Mumbi Maina and Femi Jacobs and is produced by Mildred Okwo and Rita Dominic of The Audrey Silva Company, the producers of the acclaimed movie 'The Meeting'

'La Femme Anjola' was released in 2021 to critical acclaim and earned several nominations at the AMAA 2021.
