Military Opens Fire On Protesters In Sudan Anti-coup Protest

Forces of the Sudanese security has shot dead at least one in the ongoing anti-coup protests happening in the country. This comes after top general Abdel Fattah al-Burhan ousted the government, detained civilians and formed a new ruling council.

Al-Burhan named himself the head of a new ruling Sovereign Council involving military dictatorship and puts pressures on the citizens of the country.

The protesters are demanding that the military power is brought down and the civilian government back in place. The protesters lined in the area of Khartoum despite heavy military forces and demands their voices being heard.

Reported is that General Abdel-Fattah Burhan is the same man who led the coup that deposed al-Bashir off power in 2019.
