George Akume
The Minister of Special Duties and Intergovernmental affairs Senator George Akume has called on Christians to always put Benue in their prayers for God's intervention in its current sorry state.
Akume was speaking on Sunday at the thanksgiving service in honour of former Kwande Council Chairman and current APC Chairman Hon. Terdoo Kenti at NKST Jaki Shangev Ya, Kwande Local Government area of Benue State.
Represented by the Board Member, Federal Polytechnic Wanunne Hon. Mike Msuaan, Akume said the current state Benue has Found itself calls for urgent prayers for God's intervention.
"It is your duty as Christians now to intensify prayers for things to change for good, people are suffering so much."
He further stressed that it is rather sad that Pensioners are dying everyday over state government refusal to pay their entitlement, leaving them in total frustration and death.
The minister further said as the election approaches, citizens should get their PVCs, ready to vote in a government that will be responsible, responsive and ready to work for the people and take their welfare seriously.
