According to its president Alhaji Abdullahi Bello Bodejo, the maiden edition 'Fulbe International Festival' is aimed at fostering peaceful coexistence and curbing the security challenges bedevilling the country and other neighbouring countries.
He announced this during an expanded meeting of the National Executive Council and key officials of the association across the country on Monday, at the National Secretariat in Tudun Wada, Karu Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.
Bodejo stressed that the festival will serve as a platform to address the issue of security, social, political and economic problems confronting nomadic pastoralists.
He added that it will afford the herdsmen that have grievances the opportunity to voice them out to the leaders and the government.
The meeting had in attendance Chairmen and Secretaries from 35 states.
The festival of unity and peace will last for 3-days "where Fulbe culture, Norms and values will be showcased to the outside world".
