Mmesoma Ejikeme: Why Our System Can Never Be Hacked — JAMB

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has revealed that results on the board's system can never be tampered with.

JAMB's Public Relations Officer, Dr Fabian Benjamin disclosed this while fielding questions during an interview with LeadershipTV around Mmesoma Ejikeme's allegedly manipulated 2023 UTME result.

JAMB had accused Mmesoma of parading a fake result with 362 as her total score in the 2023 UTME against the 249 recorded by the board.

According to Benjamin, JAMB results cannot be tampered with because the system is not on the cloud.

"I keep telling people that you cannot tamper with our results, it is practically impossible.

"Some will say people even the American system can hack.

"You can only hack a system that is on the cloud...

"After we finish our examination and the scripts are marked, the database where these results are kept is off the cloud. It is not connected to any internet.

"We only take a component of these results and put it on the cloud for candidates to access and see their performance.

"Once we want to send to school, it is what is in our system that is not in the cloud that we send to individual institutions.

"So there is no way you can have access to it," the JAMB PRO explained.
