Naira Marley | Sam Larry
The Yaba Magistrate’s Court in Lagos State, on Monday, granted bail to popular singer Azeez Fashola, known as Naira Marley, and Lagos socialite Balogun Eletu, also referred to as Sam Larry.
The bail was set at N20 million, with three sureties deemed responsible.
Naira Marley, Sam Larry, and two other individuals had been arraigned and remanded in custody on October 6.
They faced allegations of involvement in the circumstances leading to the death of musician Ilerioluwa Aloba, widely known as Mohbad.
Magistrate Adeola Olatunbosun ruled that the defendants must surrender their passports and adhere to weekly reporting to the State Criminal Investigation Department, located at Panti in Lagos.
She issued a stern warning, emphasising that no direct contact with her regarding the case would be tolerated, as any such attempts would be documented and potentially disclosed during open court proceedings.
