At the end of Yemi Alade's performance at the P-Square concert which was held on December 27 in Lagos, her mother, Helen Uzoma, joined her on stage.
Uzoma walked slowly onto the stage to hug her daughter while the crowd cheered her on.
“I mean this doesn’t always happen every day,” Yemi Alade said to the crowd.
“I just want you all to say thank you, mummy.”
After that, she said bye to the audience and walked out of the stage with her mother.

In October of 2021, Yemi Alade surprised her mother with a brand new Lexus SUV on her birthday.
The music star took to her Instagram page on Friday, October 1, 2021, where she shared a video of the brand-new SUV.
