Amidst rumours that Nollywood screen goddess Chacha Eke's marriage collapsed as a result of domestic violence, her colleague Monalisa Chinda has prayed for her and other victims.
In an Instagram post, Chinda wrote that Eke was free from insecurities and depression while praying that God helps the mother of three and other victims.
"Free from Fear, free from anxiety, free from insecurities and depression. My heart goes out to @chachaekefaani and to every woman/man going through domestic abuse...
Dear Lord, help the victims of domestic abuse, I believe they should no longer remain a slave to fear because you have paid the price. Please come to their rescue as they have nowhere to go.
AllNews earlier reported that Eke, over the last weekend shared a video on her Instagram page, where she clearly stated that she was done with her marriage of 7 years.
Even though she did not initially state her reasons for ending her marriage with Austin Faani, some social media users were quick to assume that it was as a result of domestic violence.
Addressing the claims in a video on Instagram, the mother of three said Faani never laid hands on her, or even raise his voice at her.
"It is not. Austin has never laid his hands on me. He has never even raised his voice at me and God in heaven knows that's the truth."
Eke also claimed to be battling with bipolar disorder, but with Eke's claim, veteran actress, Victoria Inyama said "This is very Typical, Years of Abuse will make you think you are crazy....In our culture there's almost No reason to leave your marriage except You die‼️...Most families are so Unsupportive.....@chachaekefaani.................... You removed the Crying out video but amazingly, this is still there on your wall??? This is an indirect apology for you Crying Out????
