'Money Never Reach Hand'— Funke Akindele Shares Throwback

Nollywood actress Funke Akindele-Bello has taken to social media to reminisce on her past with throwback photos.

Sharing a video collage of her throwback pictures, the 45-year-old actress stated that photos like that remind her of where she is coming from.

Speaking in the video in her 'Jenifa' character voice, she said: "It's throwback Look at me. Haa, change is very good o.

"Look at me here, I lean o. Money never reach hand. The money don dey come small small. Oh look at me glowing.

"Change is constant. Just keep doing what you are doing. Change will meet you positively.

"I love #throwbackpictures. They remind me of where I’m coming from!! Thank you Lord for the journey so far."

The beautiful actress first came into the limelight when she played the role of a secondary school girl, Bisi, in a sitcom, sponsored by the United Nations Population Fund (UNPF), ‘I Need to Know’ in 1998. The comedy soap opera ran from 1998 to 2002.

Her major break came when she played the role of a local girl in the movie ‘Jenifa’. She has gone ahead to make a name for herself in the Nigerian entertainment industry with the way she effortlessly interprets her roles which she extended to her own soap opera.
