Laura Ikeji
Nigerian fashion blogger and entrepreneur Laura Ikeji has told the story of her encounter with a trader who assumed she wanted to use her for money ritual.
According to Laura on her Instagram page, she met a female trader with three kids outside Abuja airport.
Laura said she offered the woman a $100 note as she saw that the children look exhausted.
However, the woman started praying silently before running away from her. Apparently, she was scared of being used for money rituals.
"So outside the airport in Abuja, I saw a woman with 3 little kids, she was selling something in a nylon bag.
"The kids looked exhausted so I offered her $100. The moment she saw the money, she started praying silently, then ran away from me," Laura wrote.
"She thought I wanted to use her for money ritual I guess. She ran ehn."
