2023 Presidency: Many APC Lawmakers are joining Senator Rabi'u Musa Kwankwaso in the NNPP
Kano State All Progressives Congress (APC) has lost three more lawmakers to the New Nigeria People's Party (NNPP) in the State House of Assembly.
The lawmakers in their separate defection letters addressed to the Speaker, Kano State House of Assembly, notified the House of their defection from the All Progressives Congress to NNPP.
The defected lawmakers include; Abdullahi Iliyasu Yaryasa, Member, representing Tudun Wada Constituency, Muhd Bello Butu Butu, Member, representing Tofa/Rimin Gado Constituency, and Kabiru Yusuf Ismail, Member, representing Madobi Constituency.
The APC has been losing key members to the NNPP recently and there have been speculations that the Senator representing Kano central, Ibrahim Shekarau who is yet to make his intention public will do likewise.
However, inside sources confirmed that the Senator is in talks with political allies and planning a systematic defection with some members of the G7.
Also hinting at the possible defection, former Kano State Governor, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso in a chat with Freedom Radio in Kano today, said there is no enmity in politics, and any wise politician would know that.
