More Punishment As England FA Suspends Greenwood

Mason Greenwood continues to suffer punishment over alleged rape and assault charges as he is has now been suspended from England's national team despite being released on bail Wednesday.

Greenwood 20, has seen his career take a huge hit since pictures of a woman bleeding surfaced on the internet and he has been indicted on several charges including an attempt-to-kill.

He was suspended by Manchester United, a sponsor company Nike while fellow players like Cristiano Ronaldo, Fred, Paul Pogba and others unfollowed him on social media.

Another wave hit him on Thursday morning when England coach Gareth Southgate suspended him from his team selection ahead of the World Cup in Qatar.

Although, he has not been charged yet as Manchester Police said further investigations will follow his bail.

The incriminating evidence -- pictures of the bleeding woman are no longer on social media as they have been deleted after the local authorities took up the matter.

Greenwood has not featured for England since he was sent home alongside Phil Foden after they breached the COVID-19 protocol in September 2020 bringing two women into the team's hotel.

The FA respects Man Utd and Southgate's decisions as they would want the criminal proceedings to end before they take the winger back.
