Morocco’s U-17 national team are through to the semi-finals of the Africa U-17 Cup of Nations following their 3-0 win against Algeria on Wednesday.
The victory also guarantees that they will represent Africa at the U-17 World Cup for the second time in their history.
Zakaria Ouazane opened the scoring 28 minutes into the game to tip the odds in favour of Morocco.
He then doubled the lead in the 57th minute before Adam Chakir rounded off proceedings in the 86 minute in Constantine, Algeria.
The outcome of the match impressed the Atlas Cubs boss Said Chiba who hailed his players for achieving their dream.
“The World Cup is a dream for the players.
"We have a chance to measure ourselves up against teams which are considered leaders in world football and this is absolutely good for their development.
"Going to the World Cup for them at this age is also a huge motivation for their careers,” Chiba said after the match.
