The Nigerian military has recorded success in arresting a most wanted high ranking intelligence spy of the Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorists.

The arrest was made by troops of the 21 Special Forces Brigade in Bama, Borno State.

The most wanted terrorist, Modu Babagana had escaped from military detention in Bama after his first arrest sometime in 2020.

According to the intelligence report, Babagana escaped through the usage of charms just a few days after his detention.

To intercept the fleeing Babagana, his pictures were distributed around on the most wanted list.

The terrorist was rearrested at the Bama market while buying logistics for the Boko Haram terrorists carrying a huge sum of money.

The terrorist had confessed to monitoring and disclosing terrorists' locations and their movements to Boko Haram, as reported by Leadership.
