One Alhaja Oyewale has called on the Commissioner of Police to protect her against Lekan Ajagungbade aka Emir and Nurudeen Alowonle, popular transport union leaders in Osun who are threatening to kidnap, torture and kill her.

According to a petition obtained by AllNews Nigeria on Friday, Oyewale who is the mother of Kazeem Oyewale, aka Asiri Eniba, a transport leader in the state and supporter of the outgoing governor of the state, Adegboyega Oyetola alleged that her son, Sheriff Oyewale had not been seen since he was allegedly abducted by the duo of Emir and Alowonle on November 28, 2022, at Ayetoro Area of Osogbo.

In the petition by her Counsel, Tunbosun Oladipupo, Alhaja Oyewale disclosed that both men went on rampage by attacking Sheriff Oyewale and inflicted injuries on his body and forehead.

"The culprits also took him away to an unknown destination and up till now my client is unable to see his son.

"The unfortunate incident occurred around Ayetoro, Osogbo where a car was also set ablaze by the culprits.

“My client’s son has not been seen whether he had been killed by the culprits and their cohorts as the culprits are making frantic efforts too to eliminate the elder brother.

“As if that is not enough, the culprits are still threatening to kill my client and her son for daring to expose them and their nefarious activities in the town and they also boasted that the Police are their friends in the area and that they would finish them.

“My client and his sons are seeking the help and security for themselves from these culprits not to harm them as they have vowed to attack them whenever the opportunity presents itself.

“From the foregoing, it is apparent that the said culprits have the capacity to carry out the threats unless some steps are taken to checkmate them permanently.

"It is on this note that we urge you sir to use your good office to bring them to justice.”

The Osun State Police Command, it was also gathered, has called both Ajagungbade and Alowonle for questioning but they were yet to honour the invitation as at the time of filing the report.
