Mr Macaroni Confirms Expulsion From University In 2017

Nigerian actor and comedian Adebowale Adebayo better known as Mr. Macaroni, in the early hours of Tuesday, November 10, confirmed that he was expelled from the Redeemers University in 2017.

AllNews reports that this comes after SaharaReporters, on Monday evening, shared a letter of his expulsion weeks before his graduation.

Macaroni was said to have heavily criticised the Vice-Chancellor of the university.

Replying to SaharaReporters' tweet, the 28-year-old actor had said "Love and light".

The tweet stirred reactions with many users wondering how he completed his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme without graduating from the university.

Some users went as far as tagging the media outfit a fake one.

However, reacting again, Macaroni clarified the claims, saying that the matter was later settled out of court in 2018.

"Just to clear the misunderstanding, this news by Sahara reporters wasn’t wrong at the time. I was expelled from school in 2017. We however went to court same 2017 and settled out of court in 2018. I graduated since 2018 and I went for Nysc 2019. Finished Nysc 2020," he tweeted.

Earlier this year, Mr Macaroni took to his Instagram page to reveal that he went to four universities before he finally obtained NYSC certificate.

The actor who shared photos of him in the highly-rated NYSC uniform said many thought he was possessed because he attended four different tertiary institutions between 2009 and 2019.

“I finished secondary school 2009. I went to 4 different Universities between then and 2019.

“Most people thought I was possessed. I didn’t care how long it was going to take, but I told myself I was definitely going to get a University degree. Long last, I got it. Today I have also added my NYSC certificate.
