Ignoring his arrest, he spoke on the oneness of the Hausa, Igbo, and Yoruba and urged everyone to embrace each other.

His tweet is coming after the ethnic violence that happened on Saturday at the Shasha area of Oyo state which has been a hotbed of ethnic strife recently.

Following the rancour between the Yoruba and Hausa traders, hoodlums took over some areas in Akinyele Local Government. Unconfirmed reports revealed that three persons were killed in the clash, while shops and other properties were said to have been burnt in the area by hoodlums who reportedly took advantage of the situation to wreak havoc on innocent residents. The police only confirmed one death.

However, calm has been restored to the area as Governor Seyi Makinde had ordered the closure of Shasha market indefinitely and imposed a dusk to dawn curfew.
