Mr Macaroni Speaks Out Following Seun Kuti's Detainment For Assault on Policeman

In the wake of Seun Kuti’s detainment over the assault on a policeman on the Third Mainland Bridge, popular comedian Mr Macaroni has shared his thoughts on the matter.

In a statement, he expressed appreciation for the Nigerian Police’s swift action in seeking justice for their assaulted colleague.

However, he called for the same urgency to be applied when Nigerian citizens are harassed and subjected to brutality by the police.

While strongly condemning any form of assault on police officers, Mr Macaroni also condemned any maltreatment against Seun Kuti.

He stressed the importance of respecting Seun Kuti's rights, even as the police seek justice for their fellow officer.

Emphasizing the need for the law to take its course, he called for fairness and impartiality in the process.

In his statement, Mr Macaroni highlighted the sentiment felt by many Nigerians when they are subjected to assault, brutality, humiliation, and oppression by the police.

He appealed for actions to be carried out rightly and for every individual to be treated with respect and dignity.
