MRS Oil Nigeria Plc Appoints Sunday Oyekale As R&C Manager

MRS Oil Nigeria Plc, formerly known as Texaco Nigeria Plc, has appointed Sunday Oyekale as its new Risk and Compliance manager.

MRS Oil Nigeria Plc, formerly known as Texaco Nigeria Plc, with over 35 years in the downstream sector of Nigerian oil and gas, appointed MRS Oil Nigeria Plc as its new Risk and Compliance manager.

The company, which has three strategic business units: the sale of petroleum at retail outlets or to industries, the sale of aviation fuel, and the blending of lubricants, believes that this appointment will invigorate the company's work processes to the benefit of staff and all stakeholders.

According to a circular sent to the investing public via the Nigerian stock exchange (NGX), the company secretary, O.M. Jafojo (Mrs.), believes that his wealth of experience will be beneficial to the organization after a successful time in the financial industry.

Who is Sunday Oyekale?

Sunday Oyekale is an associate member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), an associate member of the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investment (UK), and a graduate of the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers.

He worked as an Audit Trainee with Gbenga Badejo & Co. (Chartered Accountants) in 2005.

Sunday later joined Mutual Alliance Group in 2007 and worked in various capacities in different departments for ten (10) years. He rose to the position of Chief Operating Officer (COO) of one of the subsidiaries.

He joined Heritage Capital Markets Limited in January 2017 as the Chief Risk and Compliance Officer and later moved to Greenwich Trustees Limited in July 2019 as Chief Compliance Officer.

Sunday is an energetic Chartered Accountant, astute investment adviser, corporate governance and ethics expert, and SEC Registered Compliance Officer.

He holds a Higher National Diploma from Yaba College of Technology, Lagos, and professional certification in DCP, ACIS, and ACA.
