Murphy Afolabi: Extended Family Backs Late Actor's Internment In Lagos  

The body of Nollywood actor Murphy Afolabi will be interred in his house in Ikorodu, Lagos State on Monday, May 15, 2023.

This information is contained in a statement by the family head, Yusuf Iyiola Lateef 

Yusuf revealed that the body of the veteran actor will be laid to rest in his House in Ikorodu, Lagos State on Monday afternoon according to Islamic rites.

He described the death of the illustrious son of the compound as a rude shock to the entire family, Osogbo, Osun State, and the world at large.

The late thespian hailed from the Fetuata Compound, Isale-Osun Osogbo.

Afolabi reportedly slipped on Sunday morning in his bathroom and died as he was being conveyed to the hospital.

A family source disclosed that he had previously been ill and was just recuperating when the incident occurred.

A staunch traditionalist before he recently converted to Islam and chose the name Moruf, Afolabi was the son of the late Araba of Osogbo land.
