My Salary Is Between Me And NFF - Peseiro

Jose Peseiro, the coach of the Super Eagles, has decided to keep mum on the alleged salary delay by his employer, the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).

Reports claim that the 62-year-old Portuguese, who was appointed Super Eagles head coach last year May, is being owed 10 months' salary by the NFF.

He reportedly earns $70, 000 as a salary on a monthly basis.

Addressing the press on Thursday on the issue surrounding his salary, Peseiro clearly stated that he is under no obligation to discuss details of his salary in a public forum.

"The situation about my salary is between me and the NFF. I can't share nothing on it," he told journalists in Abuja.

"I can share the information with my wife because she is my wife and there is no problem about that," he added jokingly.

Peseiro however admonished the press to turn their attention to Friday's AFCON qualifying match with Guinea Bissau, saying the match is the most important agenda at the moment.

"It's not all about the money. All we need now is to focus on the Guinea match on Friday because we are one step away from qualifying," he concluded.
