Prince Okojie, the husband of A-list Nollywood actress, Mercy Johnson, has debunked claims of their baby's arrival on Sunday.
Allnews reports that Johnson's colleague in the movie industry, Jnr Pope, earlier shared photos of the actress, with her husband and a newborn on Sunday.
Other entertainers who got the news immediately stormed the comments section to send in congratulatory messages to the actress and her husband.
But in a post on his Instagram, the actress' husband denied the claims, saying he had earlier got series of calls and messages.
He wrote "I woke up this morning to see countless missed calls and messages congratulating me on the arrival of our new baby.
"We are so thankful for the show of love, but my wife @mercyjohnsonokojie has not put to bed yet, it is good news and I will certainly update you all when it happens. Thank you and God bless."
Recall that in December, Johnson-Okojie announced that she was expecting the child, alongside photos showing her baby bump.
In an Instagram post, she wrote ”We’re having a baby I’ve always wanted 4 kids…. always. However, after 3 kids, I thought I had retired from the baby making business. So a while back, we found out we had a baby on the way.
“I can’t explain the joy and peace expecting our new baby has brought, or the cravings for food that have followed. I get so emotional easily, in fact right now I’ve started crying from joy again."
