N-Power Batch C Recruitment: 'No Show' 354 Days After Registration Closed

N-Power Batch C Recruitment: 'No Show' 354 Days After Regist

A full 354 days after the portal for N-Power Batch C Recruitment closed, the Nigerian government is not announcing anything tangible.

The N-Power programme is a scheme established by President Muhammadu Buhari on June 8, 2016, "to address the issues of youth unemployment and help increase social development".

It would be recalled that the N-Power application portal closed at midnight on August 8th, 2020.

On closure of the application, the Federal Government (FG) revealed that over 5 million Nigerian youths indicated interest in the famed scheme.

Subsequently, the FG announced that 1 million successful applicants will be picked from the final application pool.

“In order to double the scope of the national social investment programmes, Mr President has graciously approved the expansion of all NSIP programmes, such as the increase of N-Power beneficiaries from 500,000 to 1,000,000, an increase of GEEP beneficiaries by 1,000,000 and increase of beneficiaries of homegrown school feeding by 5,000,000,” Sadiya Farouq, the minister of humanitarian affairs, had said in December 2020.

But as at the time of filing this report, there is no cogent plan in place by the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs for the next phase of Batch C N-Power recruitment.

Deployment status of N-Power Batch C applicants

N-Power Batch C applicants have neither been posted nor deployed to any Place of Primary Assignment (PPA).

The National Social Investment Management System (NASIMS) asked candidates to check back for the deployment information "after deployment date has been set". The date, AllNews can authoritatively report, has not been set.
