N-Power Batch C: ‘They’ll Start Scheme When It’s Close To Election Time So They Can Have Allegiance Of Hungry Youths’, Nigerian Man Aims Dig At Buhari Govt

N-Power Batch C: ‘They’ll Start Scheme When It’s Close

Over 16,000 members of the Federal Government’s N-power Volunteer Corps declared support for the re-election of President Muhammadu Buhari ahead of the 2019 presidential election, in Ondo State in December 2018

A Twitter user, @akliveen, has criticised the Muhammadu Buhari administration for its handling of the N-Power scheme.

The Nigerian man, who expressed his thoughts about the famed scheme on Thursday, insinuated that the Federal Government is not ready to take in the Batch C.

“They will start npower when it is close to election time so they can have the allegiance of the hungry youths,” @akliveen wrote.

Since the commencement of the enrolment process of N-Power Batch C on 26th June 2020, over 5 million Nigerians have applied.

The Nigerian government says it is picking one million entrants from the final application pool.

The N-Power scheme is a key component of the Nigerian government's National Social Investment Programmes (NSIPs).

It was established in 2016, and had roughly 500, 000 Batches A and B beneficiaries.

The recruitment process (for Batch C) is still at the online test stage.

Following the launch of the NSIP Management System Platform (NASIMS) in March where N-Power Batch C applicants are screened online, hundreds of Nigerian youths have taken their test.

According to NASIMS, all N-Power Batch C applicants are expected to update their profile and take test for possible shortlisting to the next stage of the N-Power application process.

Successful candidates will be sent a mail and given directions on the next stage, Nigerian authorities said.

Candidates not selected can re-apply for the next batch of the programme as soon as it opens for application, the country’s officials add.

AllNews understands that the portal to take the test (Batch C) closed May 11.
