N-Power Beneficiaries Overlooked As SurvivalFund Artisans Get N30,000

In line with his administration's social intervention programmes which includes N-Power, Survival Funds and more, President Muhammadu Buhari has approved new grant payment for artisans in Nigeria, and also directed free registration of Small and Medium Scale Enterprises (SMEs) across Nigeria.

The government has been using intervention programmes to tackle unemployment and underemployment in the country. Some of the programmes come in form of financial empowerment to SMEs, as well as job opportunities like N-Power.

N-Power Snubbed, Survival Fund Artisans In Focus

However, N-Power beneficiaries were ignored in a recent grant approval. In a statement released by the Presidency, and seen by AllNews, it was disclosed that 330,000 artisans across the country will receive grant of NGN30,000 from the government. It was learnt that artisans on the Survival Fund portal are eligible for this funding support.

"The President has also approved, as part of the Economic Sustainability Plan, the payment of N30,000 one-time grant to 330,000 artisans nationwide. Payment is now in progress. The payments are being made to verified beneficiaries of the #SurvivalFundNG’s Artisan Support Scheme."

President Buhari Approves Free Business Registration

The statement also disclosed that Micro, small and medium businesses will also get to be registered for free by the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC). It was gathered that 250,000 MSMEs will benefit from this initiative.

Also, more businesses will be registered in Lagos, followed by Kano and Abuja, while other states will have equal registration figure, "As part of @NigeriaGov support to MSMEs,Pres. @MBuhari has approved FREE REGISTRATION of business names for 250,000 MSMEs nationwide, by @cacnigeria1: 7,906 free registrations in FCT; 9,084 in Lagos; 8,406 in Kano, and 6,606 free business names in each of the remaining 34 states."
