N-Power: Beneficiaries Tell Afolabi What To Do Concerning Ma

Beneficiaries of the N-Power programme are asking Afolabi Imoukhuede, the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to President Muhammadu Buhari on Job Creation, who also doubles as the N-Power Cluster Lead of the National Social Investment Programme (NSIP) to help persuade Sadiya Farouq, Nigeria's Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development to pay their March stipend, Allnews reports.

On Sunday, Imoukhuede tweeted on his known handle wishing everyone a happy Easter celebration. However, the responses that followed were not pleasant as N-Power graduate beneficiaries expresssed their dissatisfaction.

It would be recalled that Farouq had on March 31st promised 'immediate payment' of N-Power beneficiaries' stipend amid the stay-at-home directive by the Federal Government occasioned by the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

However, as at the time of publishing this report, no payment has been made.

The Muhammadu Buhari administration says it intends to expand the N-Power scheme to accommodate one million beneficiaries in the next phase. This, to make it the largest post-tertiary job scheme in Africa.
