N-Power: 'Future Of Exited Beneficiaries More Important Than Capital Projects' - Nigerian Political Analyst To Buhari

N-Power: 'Future Of Exited Beneficiaries More Important Than

A Political Analyst, Mustapha Kabir Soron Dinki has told President Muhammadu Buhari that "the future of the exited N-Power volunteers is more important than capital projects", AllNews reports.

Dinki, who was an N-Power beneficiary, via his known Twitter handle on Wednesday posited that "human investment is better than constructing metro lines".

He, therefore, implored the president to "build man, and man will build others".

Recall that Batch A beneficiaries exited the programme on June 30 after four years in the famed scheme, while their Batch B counterparts officially made their exit on July 31st - after two years.

Meanwhile, these Nigerian youths were exited from the N-Power scheme by the Federal Government without being paid their stipends for the month of July. Plus, they are currently in the dark regarding their exit/transition package.

The Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development of Nigeria is currently in the process of recruiting Batch C.

The presidency had in an apparent response to criticism by a former president, Olusegun Obasanjo on Sunday glorified Buhari's efforts on infrastructure.

President Buhari

The ruling government had said, "Nigeria is on the road to greatness, despite the challenges confronting the nation, citing the hard push towards food sufficiency; the modernization of the rail system; the nationwide construction of roads and bridges; the reform in the oil and gas sector; the unprecedented anti-corruption battle, the diversification of the economy and the renewed effort to ensure a steady power supply, anchored on a three-phase project that is expected to deliver 25,000MW of electricity in the next few years."

But to Dinki who has been vocal in his campaign for permanency of N-Power beneficiaries, the masses - and not capital projects - is 'the most crucial national asset'.
