300, 000 erstwhile enrollees of the Nigerian government's N-Power programme are yet to get paid their July stipend, AllNews understands.
N-Power graduate beneficiaries are paid a monthly stipend of N30, 000, meaning over nine billion naira is being spent as remuneration on Batch B beneficiaries by the Nigerian government every month.
The N-Power Graduate Programme is the federal government’s direct intervention to tackle youth unemployment and re-energise public service delivery in four key sectors, that is, education, agriculture, health and tax, AllNews understands.
At the present time, three days into the month of September, beneficiaries are still waiting to be paid for July (not even August).
Since the transfer of the National Social Investment Programme (N-SIP) to the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development in October 2019, N-Power beneficiaries' pay has not been regular, this writer gathered from several bonafide volunteers.
The non-payment has caused many of the exited beneficiaries to come on social media (Twitter most especially) to demand their payment.
Pay our March to July outstanding stipends it's not a crime for using NYSC bank account for Npower

Dear @npower_ng I guess its safe to say monies owed beneficiaries from the month of March till july is gone as you guys do not intend to pay. It is safe to say we have been robbed and just as the Nigerian system is, the oppressed has no one to cry to and no voice to cry with.

It is getting out of hand.
