N-Power July Stipend/Transition: 'Nothing To Waste Time For' - Youth 4 Change Network Leader

N-Power July Stipend/Transition: 'Nothing To Waste Time For'

The CEO Of Youth 4 Change Network (Y4CN), Mustapha Kabir Soron Dinki has told the Federal Government of Nigeria that "there is nothing to waste time for amid N-Power payment of July, backlogs, and transition plan", AllNews reports.

Dinki, who was an N-Power beneficiary, via his known Twitter handle on Thursday stated that the exited beneficiaries "need humanitarian support".

It is noteworthy that the ministry in charge of N-Power, the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management, and Social Development, was set up in August 2019 by President Muhammadu Buhari.

The Ministry has Agencies like National Commission for Refugees, Migrants, and Internally Displaced Persons (NCFRMI); National Emergency Management Agency. (NEMA); National Agency for the prohibition of Trafficking in Persons. (NAPTIP); North East Development Commission (NEDC) and Social Investment Programmes (SIP). The famed N-Power scheme is one of the components of the SIP.

Since N-Power was transferred to the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs from the office of the Vice-President Prof. Yemi Osinbajo in October last year, complaints of recurrent delay in stipends payment have been registered.

The Batch B beneficiaries were exited from the scheme by the Federal Government without being paid their stipends for the month of July. Plus, both Batch A and B are currently in the dark regarding their exit/transition package.
