N-Power June Stipend: Will Beneficiaries Be Paid?

N-Power June Stipend: Will Beneficiaries Be Paid?

Outgoing Batch A and B beneficiaries of the Federal Government's N-Power initiative are already inquiring when they will be paid their June stipend, AllNews reports.

Being the last day of the sixth month of the year, the exiting volunteers are anxious to get paid.

Some are in fact asking for their outstanding three-month stipends.

It is customary for N-Power to delay payments but beneficiaries hope the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management, and Social Development of Nigeria would not delay pay this time around.

The N-Power was introduced in 2016 by the President Muhammadu Buhari administration “to imbibe the entrepreneurship culture in the Nigerian youth aged between 18 and 35 — both graduates and non-graduates”.

An estimated 500,000 youths across the country are currently engaged in the scheme, providing services in the country’s education, health, agriculture sectors, and local government offices with a monthly N30,000 stipend.
