The N-Power scheme is Nigeria’s work-for-cash social assistance programme, inaugurated by President Muhammadu Buhari in 2016 with thousands of direct beneficiaries (graduate and non-graduate) spread across the key industries targeted by the programme – Agriculture, Health, Education, and Tax.

N-Power was domiciled under the control of the Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, but since the commencement of the second tenure of the Buhari administration, Ms Sadiya Farouq’s ministry (Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development) has been in charge.

As the Federal Government keeps on with the famed N-Power scheme, Sadiya Farouq, the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, has described critics of the National Social Investment Programme (NSIP) as enemies of the beneficiaries.
