The Job Creation and Empowerment Initiative of the Social Investment Programme of the Nigerian Government on Wednesday disagreed with the popular notion among N-Power beneficiaries that Sadiya Umar Farouq, the minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development is 'a disaster', AllNews reports.
AllNews understands that roughly 500, 000 beneficiaries of the famed scheme throughout the federation are yet to get paid their April stipend. In fact, AllNews observed that a significant number of beneficiaries (graduate and non-graduates) groan that they were not even paid March stipend.
Additionally, independent monitors of the National Social Investment Programmes (NSIPs) as well, tender grievances related to non-payment of their entitlement.
Since Farouq's assumption of office in October 2019, AllNews detected that protests relating to delayed payments have become a norm.
With the month of May almost halved, AllNews can confirm that N-Power graduate beneficiaries have not been settled their April stipend.

The situation has caused many beneficiaries to regularly take to social media to lash out at Farouq.
Reacting to the criticism, N-Power, via its official Twitter handle, says stipends payment "is a process", assuring the Nigerian youths that their N30, 000 monthly allowances "will be paid".
We disagree ma'am. She takes issues around N-Power very seriously. There is a process. Your stipends will be paid.
