Recall that Farouq announced not long ago that all the issues of the N-Power backlog had been settled.
“We have sorted that out with the office of the Accountant General of the Federation.
“It has been a very tedious process but as at the last count, we have paid all the beneficiaries after the series of processes,” Farouq had said at a workshop in Abuja, the Nigerian capital city.
Your boss, @Sadiya_farouq of @FMHDSD lied that she all backlogs of Npower allowance for over 14200 exited @npower_ng had been settled. This is not true. None of us has received any payment from her ministry. @Sadiya_farouq should pay us our stipends. It's our right. https://t.co/4ZIkcteN6T pic.twitter.com/S6WBlNo2Zs

But in his reaction again on Thursday, Ridwan - via his known Twitter handle - countered the minister’s claims, describing them as false, baseless and shameful.
Ridwan urged the minister to “stop dishing lies to the public” over the payment of their backlogs, insisting that none of them has received any payment from the Ministry.
“None of us has received any payment from her Ministry since February 2020.
“We are numbered over 14,200 and we have different WhatsApp groups, Facebook pages and Telegram, where we communicate with ourselves.
“None of us claimed to have received any payment from the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs,” laments Ridwan.
The beneficiaries also lamented how the Ministry ordered them to go for re-documentation and presentation of their Bank statements, as evidence that they are genuine beneficiaries and they were owed five months stipends.
They called on President Muhammadu Buhari, Senate President Ahmad Lawan and Speaker of the House of Representatives Femi Gbajabiamila, to come to their aid by ordering the Ministry to pay them their five monthly stipends.
